Write TikTok comments that don't sound like ads
The difference between a comment that helps and one that gets ignored is mostly tone. Here is a short method.
1. Start with the video
Read the caption and the top comments first. Your comment should only make sense under this video. "That crema is unreal" works under a latte clip and nowhere else.
2. Answer, don't announce
Reply to a question or add something useful. If someone asks "what app is this?", the answer is the comment.
3. Name the brand once
"I use Notely for my meetings" is enough. Skip slogans, discount codes and links. If it reads like it was written by a marketing team, people scroll past.
4. Match the language and tone
Write in the language of the video. Keep it as casual as the thread around it, and short.
5. Don't repeat yourself
Identical comments across videos are easy to spot. Vary the wording and only comment where the brand genuinely fits.
Examples
- Meeting-notes app: "Notely keeps track of meetings, that is the app in this video."
- Café: "Kafé Solrosen in Södermalm has cardamom buns this good, go early on weekends."
- Skincare: "Glowform barrier serum is made for dry patches, worth a look."
These are illustrative, from our examples section, with made-up brands.
